About the Composer

Abigail Rae

Abigail Rae is a composer, guitarist and music novelist from Iowa. In the spring of 2022 she was a resident of Vienna, Austria. For the majority of 2023 and spring of 2024, she resided in Leipzig, Germany where she furthered her music, from being a guest listener at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater ‘Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’ to playing in an orchestra at the GewandHaus (Mendelssohn Saal). She likes music history along with a spot of tea.

Abigail currently continues to compose for guitar as well as orchestral works. She gigs professionally at retirement homes, dinner events and much more. In 2026 she has had her music aired on local radio and later in the year she will be working with a community orchestra to have orchestral compositions performed.
